FSD is reporting about Gucci’s new mobile phone initiative that has just launched in Japan. While some high end houses are developing mobile phones for their consumers, Gucci has developed a portal for mobile users that harnesses the power of QR codes in redirecting consumers to special URLs on guiccijoy.jp.
“The QR codes, similar to the bar codes used in supermarkets, can be found either on the Gucci Joy advertising pages of Japanese magazines or on Gucci Joy outdoor advertising.” Currently, the redirection offers users a glimpse into the Gucci Joy Collection of handbags and accessories as well as special icons and wallpapers.
