Japanese mobile phone
maker Sony Mobile is expected to unveil to the world new smartphones
running under Google’s Android operating system as soon as March 18, during a
press event held in Russia, new reports on the matter suggest.
The company has already announced plans to hold said press
conference on that day, and the unveiling of new handsets seems very likely.
In fact, according to XperiaBlog, Sony Mobile might announce on that day the
recently leaked Sony Xperia SP (C530X) HuaShan and Sony Xperia L (C210X) Taoshan smartphones, both of which were previously rumored
to arrive before the end of March.
No specific info on when these handsets will hit shelves has
emerged so far, or on whether they will indeed be unveiled next week, but more
should emerge soon, so stay tuned.
