The One Touch T’Pop is the tiniest model among Alcatel’s new One Touch lineup smartphone. The entry-level handset comes with clean, compact design. The T’Pop will be powered by the outdated Gingerbread (Android 2.3), which seems understandable as the phone is destined only to non-tech oriented consumers. There are also 1GHz MediaTek processor, 3.5” HVGA display, 3.2Mp rear camera (with no LED flash) and microSD card.
Spec-wise, we shouldn’t get too excited with the One Touch T’Pop, as it is just another low-end, compact device. However, the T’Pop should perform rather well for average users as there’s no heavy user interface getting in the way of common tasks. The 256MB of RAM would limit multitasking capability and there’s no front-facing camera for video calls.
The phone supports quad-band GSM, dual-band UMTS and HSDPA of an unspecified data speed. There are A-GPS support and various email formats, such as SMTP, POP3, IMAP and Microsoft Exchange.
