New Android edition of Firefox browser lands

Offers improved search and malware alerts.

Mozilla has updated the Firefox browser for Android smartphones with some rather ace new features, burnishing its status as the search engine of choice for open-source connoisseurs.
The revamped edition of the browser adds optional, but actually, very very welcome search suggestions to speed up searches. Search suggestions are conducted over a secure connection, so your data remains secure.
Also new are security warnings to keep you away from sites harbouring malware, courtesy of Safe Browsing – making Mozilla’s contender the first mobile browser to sport the feature.
Firefox, which has also been updated and improved for desktop users and is now 25 per cent faster, is available to download now for free from Google Play.
