WhatsApp Not Available For BlackBerry Z1 - 2013

WhatsApp BB Z10

Messaging application WhatsApp is now available for BlackBerry Z10 users, providing they have recently updated their mobile’s software.
What’s WhatsApp?
WhatsApp messenger allows users to message each other for free over a 3G or Wi-Fi data connection.
A native version of WhatsApp has been built for the BlackBerry 10 operating system – it offers support for push notifications and integration with BlackBerry Contacts, so there is no need for users to manually re-enter phone numbers.
Software update
To download the app, users must have upgraded their BlackBerry 10 software with the update BlackBerry is currently rolling out.
BlackBerry Z10 owners will receive a notification about new updates, but users can also check for the update manually by following these steps:
  • Go to Settings
  • Select Software Update
  • Tap Check for Updates
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update
The update is about 150MB and we recommend it should only be downloaded while connected to Wi-Fi to avoid using up all your data allowance.
Improvements brought along by the update include performance enhancement for third-party apps (and new app launches due in March), fixes for Gmail calendars, improvements to the call log in the  BlackBerry Hub, and camera optimisation.
