Obviously, the above Samsung GS3 vs Blackberry Z10 vs iPhone 5 specs chart comparison just shows hardware specs and does not review the operating system features. On part of hardware specs, these all seems pretty equal, except HDMI microHDMI, NFC differences. Optical zoom is better, but again, more losses for iPhone5 than wins. Samsung GS3 looks good too. Overall, from hardware specs comparison point of view, BlackBerry Z10 seemss reasonably well
However, seeing how BlackBerry 10 OS stacks up against iOS and Android will come down to actually experiencing it, but what we know looks promising. With features like BlackBerry Flow, the improved BBM, and the Time Shift camera function, it appears BlackBerry is up for the fight.
Android vs BB10 vs iOS 6.1
This is an important aspect as all the three handsets loaded with rival operating systems. Z10 is a BlackBerry 10 based smartphone, Galaxy S3 is based on Android 4.0.4 ICS and is upgradeable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean while iPhone 5 is based on iOS 6 and is upgradeable to iOS 6.1.
When it comes to feature enhancements, BlackBerry 10 OS comes with new features and improvements including BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Flow, BBM, BlackBerry Balance, Story Maker, BlackBerry Remember, BlackBerry Safeguard and BlackBerry World.
On the other hand, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS has features such as Project Butter, which offers faster, smoother and responsive performance, on-screen navigation buttons, expandable and contractible Android notifications, re-sizable App Widgets functionality, high resolution contact photos, Android Beam app and more.
At the same time, iOS 6.1 update released a couple of days back has new features including 4G LTE support for more carriers, iTunes Match subscribers can download individual songs from iCloud, button to reset Advertising Identifier, improved Apple Passbook, tweaks to Safari, reworked music playback controls from lock screen and back-end changes in the mapping software of Apple.
The OS features are key to success for a smartphone. Apple iOS 6.1 and Android 4.0 ICS are good but Blackberry BB10 look way cool and likely to catch on. We guess that Google is pretty comfortable with it's Android share and marginal lead in the smartphone operating system market. We fear that Apple iOS might be the in this mounting smartphone war, but it will still keep making money good enough.
