Top 5 things about Apple iOS 6

The forthcoming launch of Windows 8 and Google's move of launching Jelly Bean (Android 4.2) has led Apple to announce in June 2012, the launch of its new mobile operating system iOS 6. However, Apple didn't come up with any concrete disclosure about its OS during the company's event yet the rumors and speculations are rife in the industry.

Analysts are coming out with a different set of features that Apple may introduce with the new OS. They have been constantly analyzing the features that Apple has portrayed during the launch of the iOS 6 beta version.

On the basis of Apple's blog posts and announcements made during the launch of beta version, it is a possibility that the new OS will be introduced with around 200 plus features like the new Maps app equipped with turn-by-turn navigation and innovative Passbook app that helps users in storing tickets, coupons, gift cards and vouchers at one central repository and this would be easily accessible. You can also expect Facebook integration, web-enabled photo sharing, video chatting over cellular data enabled by FaceTime and improved Siri, the voice command app, with the new iOS 6.
These are the some of the features of iOS 6 that has been announced, but Apple is planning to introduce many more features in the near future. Industry experts expect features like automatic data switching from Wi-Fi to cellular data and Bluetooth file sharing.
Find below some more unannounced features that are expected with the launch of the new iOS 6:

 Wi-Fi Plus Cellular
The fourth beta version of iOS 6 has been recently seeded to developers. This version is equipped with the ability to switch automatically from Wi-Fi to cellular data. As per company sources, this is useful if the app is facing problems in connecting to the Wi-Fi. This feature which is called as Wi-Fi Plus Cellular can be activated and deactivated through the app settings.
You can understand the benefits of this feature by relating the new feature with the existing one. In the existing version if your device is not able to connect to the Wi-Fi, your connectivity stops and you require switching the device on cellular data. Now, Apple has made changes in the app and now this takes place automatically. Moreover, Apple has indicated that the FaceTime over iOS6 will also support 3G.

 Bluetooth File Sharing
The latest beta version released by Apple for iOS 6 indicates about a new function that will enable Bluetooth file sharing support for apps. This is an improved feature because you get to share your contacts, use audio/video remote control, send audio, multiplayer gaming and can get connected through Bluetooth keyboards.
Now with the iOS 6 you have extended options as you can share photos, calendar dates, reminders apart from contacts. You can control the new sharing feature through ‘Privacy' that is found in ‘Settings.'

 YouTube
YouTube is next in line to be effected because of the ongoing patent war between Google and Apple. Since Apple has decided to bid adieu to YouTube, you won't see any YouTube video streaming app with new iPhones running on iOS 6. This has been a part of the phone since its debut in 2007. According to Apple, the license of YouTube is going to expire and the company is not planning to renew it anymore.

High screen resolution
The next undiscovered feature of the new iOS 6 is its support to higher screen resolution. The new OS is expected to support a screen resolution of 640 by 1136. This feature will enable Apple to bring the new iPhone in 4-inch screen size. Moreover, the apps running on the existing devices will also not get affected because of the new screen resolution.

More Icons
By using a higher resolution screen, now Apple will have more space on the screen to place its icons. It is rumored that Apple plans to add one extra row of icons on the screen as it now has more space because of the high resolution screen. Now, it is expected that there will be five rows of icons on the forthcoming iPhone.
The above discussed features are just few of the features that are expected to be rolled out with the new and improved iOS 6. Apple is indeed trying hard to beat the competition posed by mobile OS from Google's Android and Microsoft
