Even if we do not know for certain the
official name of the new iPhone we are hearing that the release of the handset
could be delayed. If the rumor is true Apple has had a few issues with
production, and so could see a disruption in 2013.
According to the source the next version of
the iPhone (rather the 5S or 6) will be thinner and lighter
than the current model. If this is the case then we will start to worry about
battery performance, as Apple has been unable to improve on this over the
years. On paper the iPhone 5S should do very well with its battery, but that is
not the case in the real world.
We do find it funny how the article says that
the next iPhone will be delayed this year due to what we mentioned above, but
they have nothing to back this up. It’s a little like those analyst reports
that we never take any notice of, so we should really be doing the same with
this as well.
