Press image indicates Sony smartphone not far from the shelves
We half expected it at the (fairly) recent MWC event, but the Sony Xperia P was a no-show. That could change very soon.
The mid-range Sony smartphone has been spotted in press images in China. Now, if you are making press sheets featuring a phone, I think it's fair to say that the phone is edging very close to a launch.
The render itself doesn't give much away (outside of the actual 'look'), but previous links have pointed to a 4.6-inch 720p screen, a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 chip, an 8-megapixel Exmor RS rear camera, 8GB of storage, a microSD slot and (we are guessing) Android Jelly Bean for the OS.
If the idea of a phone with the look of the Sony Xperia Z, but without the higher pie tag appeals, you shouldn't have long to wait to get your hands on this.
